HELP ON URLs.

The Universal Resource Locator is your link from the Index to your page or portfolio on the world wide web. When you enter your URL here it will automatically link to your page anywhere on the web regardless of location or who you bought the page from. Through the photographersindex.com, you can be found equally easy no matter where your web pages are.

VERY IMPORTANT: When entering your URL you must be sure to enter it correctly or it won't link. Many servers are case sensitive, so you must be exact. You can test and edit your information and url later if you make a mistake. Be sure to write down your ID and password to edit your listing.

2. The web, typically: www.
3. The server location such as: yourcompany.com
4. The path such as /yourportfolio/

This will usually complete a typical link and further addressing is unnecessary.

• Further addressing of a link may include a page name - typically /index.html or /default.htm
• Further addressing can include a book mark to a location within a page such as /#information/

Easiest way to get your URL "perfect" is to go to your page, copy the URL and paste it in the photographersindex form.
